Scaredy Cats – Patti is one of our cats that has been so traumatized by being captured in a trap, put in a cage and going through the shelter environment, that by the time we rescued her, she had become “a scaredy cat”. With a lot of love and patience she can learn to trust her foster families but would need more time than the average cat to transfer that trust to a new person. Pattis is a cat that is well worth the time and effort. Once she learns to trust again and form a bond with you, it will be forever.

Patti is very affectionate, she gives head butts and loves attention, but when you leave the room she will hide. She is just afraid of being alone.

Our Mission

The FARM was begun by Greg and Barbara Bertling to find homes for some of the wonderful, loving pets abandoned, lost or given up and scheduled for euthanasia at area shelters. Thus, FARM means the difference between life and death for the pets rescued.

We provide food, shelter, medical care, behavioral evaluation and affection. We take great care to find responsible, loving, permanent homes for each pet we save.

The FARM has rescued and placed over 3,000 dogs and cats since its beginning in October, 2000.

Adoption Process

An adoption application and references are required for each potential dog or cat adoption. Please download an Application and send back to us either Fax - (410) 557-7331, e-mail: FallstonRescue@aol.com or snail mail at 2725 Fallston Road, Fallston, MD 21047. After a few days, then call (410) 557-6161 to verify receipt of application and arrange an appointment to meet your potential new fur-friend.

Adoption Applications

Cat Adoptions range from $125.00 (males) to $150.00 (females) which includes basic vaccinations, spay or neuter, test for Feline Leukemia and FIV (cat and kittens over 6-months old), worming, and treatment with Frontline/ Advantage Flea preventative.
